The Crown Center Building was designed by SmithGroup/Architects Four to reflect the state-of-the-art industry of its owners, Crown Steel Company who occupy a suite on the third floor of the building.  The design is a simple rectangle in plan with the entry corner carved away to reveal a three-story atrium.  The construction is a steel frame with a steel panel skin.  The horizontal steel panel system has a slight color change to differentiate the entry.  The building presents an airy, elegant form and is landscaped to enhance that character.  Interior materials include a marble floor and wainscot at the entry.
